My Journey as a Photographer, From Hobby to Creative Passion:
Where It All Began
My journey into photography began back in college, during a time when I was still figuring out who I was and what truly made me happy. In between classes and late-night talks with friends, I found myself constantly reaching for my iPhone to take their portraits. Capturing those little moments, smiles, laughter, candid expressions quickly became my favorite hobby, and that’s when I realized how much I loved telling stories through images.
It didn’t start with fancy gear or any formal training. It started with a feeling—a spark. I was amazed at how one photo could freeze a moment, tell a story, and make you feel something, sometimes even more than words could.
Encouragement That Sparked Action
I started taking casual photos of my friends, small events, and nature using my phone. People began to notice, especially my friends. They saw my passion even before I did and kept encouraging me to share my work. One day, they said, “You should start a photography page.” That simple suggestion changed everything. I created She Cam—a space where I could post my photos, explore my creativity, and slowly grow into the photographer I’ve always dreamed of becoming.
In those early days, I tried everything—portraits, model photography, small events—just to understand what resonated most with me. Each photo taught me something new, not just about lighting and composition, but about storytelling, patience, and connection.
Over time, I realized I was especially drawn to emotional, candid photography. I wanted to capture people as they truly are—in love, in motion, in laughter, in stillness.
The Shift Toward Wedding & Portrait Photography
As I grew more confident, so did the opportunities that came my way. I started with small shoots—capturing birthdays, casual events, and portraits—all on my iPhone. Slowly, I was invited to photograph more meaningful moments, and eventually, I stepped into the world of weddings. I never imagined that my phone camera would take me this far.
Weddings are fast, emotional, and full of raw, beautiful moments. They challenged me in the best way. I had to learn how to stay present, anticipate the unexpected, and capture moments that pass in the blink of an eye. Most importantly, I learned how to connect with people—how to make them feel seen and comfortable in front of the lens.
It wasn’t always smooth. There were nerves, self-doubt, and technical limits. But each challenge pushed me to grow, to be creative with what I had, and to trust my eye. What started as a simple love for taking photos on my phone turned into something so much more—a way to tell real stories and be part of memories that last a lifetime.
Where I Am Now
Today, I’m proud to say I’ve built a photography brand that’s rooted in passion, authenticity, and emotional storytelling. “She Cam” isn’t just a name—it’s a reflection of who I am: a woman behind the camera, capturing moments that matter.
Photography has taken me on a journey I never expected. It’s helped me grow personally, professionally, and creatively. And I know the journey is still just beginning.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
“Passion, when supported by hard work, action, and belief, becomes purpose.”
Whether you’re a fellow photographer, a dreamer just starting out, or someone looking for the right person to capture your special moments—I’m grateful you’re here.
Let’s keep capturing memories that we will cherish forever.
